Connections, Etc. is an independently owned telecommunications
company with 17,000 telephone lines in service to residents
in Big Lake, Becker, Zimmerman and Glendorado-Santiago. In
addition Connections, Etc. is an industry leader in technology
providing iZoom High-Speed Internet accessibility to nearly
100% of the customer base and in 2001 DIGITALTV television service
became available to many customers through the phone lines.
How
can there be an 'Independent Phone Company'?
Many residents, when moving to the area, are surprised that a unique type of
telecommunications company like Connections, Etc. exists. In fact, there are
about 60 similar small, privately owned, phone companies in the state of Minnesota
that originally were founded to offer telephone service to rural residents which
the big phone companies wouldn't go to. To learn more go to the Minnesota Telecom

of these companies were started in the spirit of bringing advancement to rural
Minnesota.
Connections, Etc. continues this rural advancement tradition, even today as our
area becomes less rural. We were one of the first companies in the state to have
high-speed Internet service available to customers (far before many metro areas),
and with the implementation of DIGITALTV, we are constantly committed to making
sure Becker, Big Lake, Glendorado, Santiago, and Zimmerman have world class communication
services available.
