What it does:
Call Trace allows you to automatically request a trace of an obscene, thratening, or harassing call. After receiving such a call, you simply dial a special code to have the calling party's phone number printed at the telephone company (see important notes below about release of information).
|
|

How
it works:
Hang up after receiving the annoying or offensive call.
Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.

* 5 7.
Listen
for an announcement informing you whether the trace was successful or not.
Hang
up.
After activating a Call Trace, you should call law enforcement if you want the call investigated further.
|
|
|
|
Notes:
The number you traced will be recorded at the telephone company, but under no circumstances will we release the information to you, only to law enforcement officials. Connections,
Etc. cannot release the number to anyone but authorities. If you decide to follow up on the
matter, you will need to work directly with your
local law enforcement agency.
Call
Trace must be used immediately after you hang
up on the call you want traced. If you
get another call or hear a Call Waiting tone
first, you will trace the wrong call. Call
Trace can only trace the very last call coming
into your line.
Call Trace does not work on international calls, 500, 800, 855, 866, 877, 888, and 900 numbers or calls originating from an area or long distance carrier where this feature is not provided.

Three
Way Calling
What it does:
Three Way Calling
turns an everyday phone call into a three-way conversation. |
|
|
|
How
it works:
To add a third party:
To hold your existing call, depress the "switchhook" for about a second.
Listen
for a special dial tone.
Dial
the number of the third party you wish to add to
your conversation.
Speed Calling codes may be used if you have this
feature.
When
the third party answers, you may talk privately
before completing your three-way connection.
With your third party
on the line, depress the "switchhook" once
to get back to your held party. Now all three
parties will be on the line.
To disconnect the third
party:
Depress the "switchhook" for about one
second.
You will now have only the original party on the
line.
To disconnect completely:
Simply hang up. If either of the two parties
hang up, you can continue to talk to the remaining
party. |
|
 |
|
Notes:
You may use a "flash" or "link" key
instead of a "switchhook". |
|
|
|
There is a per call usage charge this feature up to a monthly limit.
