|
How
it works:
When you get a harassing or threatening call, hang
up.
Immediately pick up the handset again and listen for
a normal dial tone.

Listen
for a confirmation announcement that the last call
has been traced. This announcement will indicate
whether the trace was successful or unsuccessful.
If successful,
dial 1.
Hang
up. |
|
|
|
Notes:
The number you traced will be recorded at the law enforcement
agency. If you decide to follow up on the
matter, you will need to work directly with your
local law enforcement agency.
Call
Trace must be used immediately after you hang
up on the call you want traced. If you
get another call or hear a Call Waiting tone
first, you will trace the wrong call. Call
Trace can only trace the very last call coming
into your line.
The
traced number will only be available to your local
law enforcement agency. Under no circumstances
will you directly be given the traced number. Connections,
Etc. cannot release the number. |

To hold your existing call, depress the "switchhook"
for about a second.
Listen
for a special dial tone.
Dial
the number of the third party you wish to add to
your conversation.
Speed Calling codes may be used if you have this
feature.
When
the third party answers, you may talk privately
before completing your three-way connection.
With your third party
on the line, depress the "switchhook" once
to get back to your held party. Now all three
parties will be on the line.
To disconnect the third
party:
Depress the "switchhook" for about one
second.
You will now have only the original party on the
line.
To disconnect completely:
Simply hang up. If either of the two parties
hang up, you can continue to talk to the remaining
party. |
|
 |
|
Notes:
You may use a "flash" or "link" key
instead of a "switchhook". |
