Q: How do I get new channels in the guide in order?

A: To place the channels in the guide in order, press the menu button on your remote.  Then select Set Up The Channels. Select Change Channel Order and then select Reset.

Q: Will I get the local channels?  Is there an additional charge for them?

A: Yes.  The local channels 2,4,5,9,11,17,29,41 & 45 are included in the DIGITALTV packaging and there isn't an additional charge.

Q: What Pay Per View company do you use?

A: TVN and Spice.

Q:  If I order a PPV movie will it cause my phone to be busy?

A:  No.

Q: How many PPV movie channels does your service offer?

A: 1 channel showing a variety of movie choices.  We are currently upgrading our pay-per-view system to provide Video On Demand.  We do not have a date when Video On Demand will be available.  

Q: What are Sun Spots/solar interferences?

A: Each spring and fall, for a period of about three weeks, satellite-delivered channels can experience solar interference or sun spots. These outages affect different channels at different depending on which satellite is used to send the signal. They usually do not last any longer than several minutes each day during this time. Reception will get snowy, gradually get worse and then get better.

Q: Is there a charge to upgrade or downgrade my channel package?

A: No

Q: Do I need a phone line connected to all TV's to be able to order PPV?

A: No.

Q: How do I make changes to my channel package?

A: Call Customer Service at 763.262.4100.

Q: Can I pick and choose my programming? (ie: I like 1 channel from the Expanded package, but don't want to spend an extra $10 a month to have it)

A: No, there are no substitutions or changing channels among packages.

Q: Do I need to have phone service or DSL to get DIGITALTV?

A: No. Customers do need to be in our phone service area.

Q: How far into a movie can I cancel it?

A: When ordering a regular PPV movie you have 10 minutes to cancel.  When you order any Adult Entertainment movies there isn't a window to cancel.

Q: Why do I need to lease/purchase the remote from Connections, Etc.?

A: Your television remote will continue to work with your TV.  The remote that is for DIGITALTV is programmed specifically for our product.  Universal remotes will not work with DIGITALTV.  Remotes lease for $1.00 per month.

Q:  How long is the estimated installation time?

A: Estimated install if a customer already has satellite or cable TV is about an hour to an hour and a half.  (estimated time is for 3 TV's and 1 VCR installation)  Without existing satellite or cable TV estimated time could be up to three hours.

Q: Do I have to be home at the time of install?

A: Yes.

Q: What is involved in the installation, does the service run through my existing cable outlet? Is there any other interior wiring that will need to be done?

A: If you have or have had cable TV or a satellite dish the existing wiring can be used.  Our installers will make every effort to utilize your existing wiring.  Additional wiring would only be run if the current wiring is unsuitable or more is needed.  A phone jack may need to be installed depending on where the Gateway is to be located in the home.

Q: Will the install of DIGITALTV disrupt my DSL/phone Service?

A:  No.

Q:  What is the charge to have Connections, Etc. connect the stereo sound to my TV?

A:  $14.95 per stereo.

Q:  Will DVD players work with DIGITALTV?

A:  Yes.

Q:  Will the Caller ID service display on all of my TV's?

A: Yes, if you subscribe to Caller ID service.  DIGITALTV gives you the option to display the caller id on the TV screen. 

Q:  Do I have to remove the Caller ID log from each TV or can it be done from one?

A:  The Caller ID log has to be removed from each TV.

Q:  What does Connections, Etc. service offer in comparison to satellite/cable TV?

A: Digital picture, interactive programming, scheduling and selection, parental control features, (which allows blocking of channels based on ratings or content), Caller ID feature on all TV's and voice mail message notification.  It is conveniently billed on your Connections, Etc. monthly telephone bill or you can choose to have the DIGITALTV portion billed separately.

Q: I purchased a new remote, how do I program it to work with my TV and the Gateway?

Q:  Will I receive any discount for having your Internet, DSL, and DIGITALTV?
